Hello,

Sorry for my first post to be one asking for assistance, but as a newbie, I need a little guidance in identifying a replacement crown and stem for my watch. I bought it a few years back and am really pleased with it, but a while ago the crown caught on something and was pulled off. I think the stem must have been loose (or it hadn't been fitted) because I need a replacement stem too.

I've tried a few sources of information and from what I can piece together, I should be looking for a crown with the outer winding stem attached (female), similar to the pictures below:

http://www.urdelar.se/index.php?route=product/product&keyword=43041&product_id=1542

The specs according to this website are:
  • Diameter: 5.0 mm.
  • Complete with outer winding stem, length: 2.7 mm.
  • For tube: 2.0 mm.
This website lists this crown being suitable for a 166.020 SP, but I get a different part number from the "BILL OF MATERIALS OF 055ST1660020 - STEEL CASE CAL. 0565" extract from cousinsuk.com website, which lists the part number as 069ST42531 & 081ST9993.

https://www.cousinsuk.com/PDF/categories/4488_Omega 166.0020 ST Case.pdf

I understand though, that the 069ST42531 is the replacement for the 069ST43041, so I think if I can find either I should be fine. Just a question on the winding stem 081ST9993 - I thought this was part of this particular crown and not removable - could someone please help me on this?

Then on the tube - according to the Cousins part list, I should be looking for a 090ST0099, but I've also been told that 090STZ001091 is the correct tube. I haven't been able to find the sizes of these tubes, so can't tell if they're actually the same. Could someone please guide me on this?

Tried to look for a definitive parts list - the Cousins website has good listings for the movements, but less comprehensive listings for the cases. If someone could point me to other sources of information, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has any further advice for a newbie, I'm keen to hear it.

Below is a picture of how my watch currently looks (missing crown) and further below are pictures from the original eBay listing.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

Current replacement crown is 069ST42531.

Case tube is 090STZ001091.

And the crowns don't come with the female split stems attached - they are bought as a separate part and trimmed to the correct length.

Female split stem part is 081ST9992.

Thanks, I've received the parts and am wondering - can I carefully tap the stem in using something like a nylon mallet, without removing the crystal and movement?

I see that there's a step in the rim of the narrower end of the tube, so I'm wondering if it's not possible to line it up correctly without removing the crystal and movement.

Cheers,
Michael
