Seamaster Chronostop winding question

Hi there,

I recently bought a 1960s Seamaster Chronostop which looks great. Im not much of a watch expert so please excuse any naivety ! On winding it I never get to a stop that tells me its fully wound. Instead, every 5 or so turns of the crown I can hear a soft click. Im concerned somethings not right in there and maybe the winding mechanism is slipping.

Any advice please ?

Most likely a broken mainspring...
