    The crown is possibly not original to the watch, but without being able to see the top of the crown, I would guess it is likely a modern Omega replacement. I have its brother, and I love it!

    Here is a close-up of the crown:

    Looks like an original Omega waterproof crown to me. Unfortunately, the gold plating is shot. What I don't know is whether this crown is original to this watch.

    The symbol in the middle looks like an example of the "Naiad" crown. It was a failed experiment by Omega.

    Dial on this watch is killer, but the case has been heavily polished. That's likely what killed this crown.
