US veterans can buy omega watches tax free through aafes(shopmyexchange.com) waaaayy below retail, $4129 for steel bracelet and $4029 for the rubber version! I ended up getting mine for $3,729 when they had a 400 discount sale!
Wow that's awesome, I tried different stores and ADs but the discount was minimal.

I got mine for $3232 but AAFES only had the rubber strap version for sale then. It was a 24 hour 20% additional discount on selected watches. I put mine on an Uncle Seiko flat link.

What's the price on the OEM bracelet?

I don't know but I don't care for it. That's why I bought the Uncle Seiko. If the old Speedy style bracelet from the 2254.50 would fit I would be interested in picking one up.

I love the bracelet

It is very comfortable. I had a 2062.50, a 2264.50, and a 2236.50. I like the Speedy style bracelet better than the Bond but they are both nice to wear.

I had a 2254 and liked the bracelet, but the SMP bracelet is very unique and I appreciate that,

Nice I have the chronograph version. Got the blue rubber strap for it to swap out but since the 9900 is so thick it didn't feel right. Prefer the bond band.

I tried the chronograph @richard371

Lovely watch that. Sadly it was too chunky in my wrist or would have definitely plumped up the extra cash.

Yeah, the thickness is a detail, looks and feels better on bracelet
