Seamaster 300 waterproof strap

Hi All, I am trying to find a waterproof strap for my Seamaster 300 something along the lines of the Planet Ocean black and orange rubber one. I suspect the PO one would not fit as it is 22mm and the springbars would not line up. It does not necessarily have to be rubber, looking for black, dark grey possibly with a red or orange edge, 21mm, just has to look the part, sailcloth, nylon etc. Has anyone come across anything bonny for their 300. I would prefer one to go on a deployment buckle but could live with a tang one. I have searched the web and can find nothing. Any info would be appreciated. Show me what you have.

Peter.

Wow, that’s an attractive little piece.
How about a tropic sport or waffle rubber strap?

I'd recommend a tan or beige NATO. I tend to keep mine on this during the warmer months, and it would work perfectly, I think, for your needs.

I would go with a Hirsch. They are hard to beat for the price.

On the higher price side my orange and black rubber strap for my Planet Ocean 43.5 is 21mm. I do not know if the spring bars would match yours though. The first time I put my Omega rubber strap on it was pretty tight.

Artem sailcloth. Comes in 21mm in both deployant and non-deploayant versions. Here’s a pic on my old 300 MC. It has a rubber backing, so is completely water proof.

Many thanks for all your suggestions, some nice looking straps. I was on the verge of going for the Black Artem sailcloth when I came across “FINWATCHSTRAPS” based in Finland. Some lovely straps.

I went for the Black canvas with orange stitching, looks good. I will put up a picture when it arrives.

Here is one I found for my PO to replace the orange/black strap that came on the watch. 21mm between the lugs and 18 mm at the deployment buckle. Black with light gray stitching.

Well I finally received both my straps after one was lost in the post for many weeks. Very happy with the quality of the straps and the clasps. The combined cost of both straps and postage from “FINWATCHSTRAPS” was about 120 UK pounds. A good deal I think. I will probably send for the “ARTEM” in blue, a beautiful strap, and if I can convince myself it is value for money the “RUBBER B” in black, $300 but elegant. A lot of straps but sometimes changing the strap changes the look of the watch, cheaper than a new one, though I do have my eye on a used Railmaster luckily also 21mm.
