This a little off topic but there is an App for iPhones called Kello that measures the precision of mechanical watches (a timing machine for iPhone). The new updated version of Kello is back on the iTunes App Store, updated with new signal processing algorithms to focus in on the sound of the watch’s escapement and help eliminate ambient noise.
