That maybe the only thing that can be considered an overt weakness about the second gen bracelet, is that the first-gen bracelet has about 6 micro adjustment positions.

I guess we never get EVERYTHING that we want in one package!
As I said, I'm not sure. It could very well be six. I only adjusted it once and didn't really pay attention to how many clicks there are in the adjustment range.

yes, new one has 3, old one has 6. Having had the old one, I can say I rarely used more than 3 positions, so the other 3 were a waste and just made the clasp longer for no reason. Omega made the correct decision to go to 3 and reduce size of clasp.

I recently purchased a new black dialed Seamaster 300 Heritage. The watch comes on a very nice flat link OEM bracelet with micro adjustment, but I also picked up a dark brown horween chromexcel strap (thought it would look nice with the fauxtina on the bezel, hour markers and hands) and a black shell cordovan strap (thought it would look nice with the black dial). Just curious which “look” the OF crowd thinks is best. I’m kinda partial to the black strap. Maybe it depends on the occasion/setting? Fantastic watch, by the way. Well done, Omega.

Nice watch and absolutely love that bracelet design! The watch seems to get lost with the leather strap, I think a rubber strap would be better looking than the leather. Having said that, I would keep it on the bracelet- absolutely class.

After many attempts to find the “ONE” , waterproof, 21mm, good colour match, robust etc, in MHO this is as close to it as I can get.

Thank you for sharing, I hadn't thought of it that way but a shorter clasp makes sense especially with the taper on the newer bracelet. A longer clasp wouldn't have looked as elegant.

They all look pretty nice. I really like the black leather strap combo.
