Here for sale today a lovely gold top Seamaster 2848 with black waffle crosshair dial. The reference 2848 was introduced in 1956 and came with various dial styles, this one has IMO the most attractive of them all and is running an automatic calibre 491 movement. The gold top case is in overall good condition with a few marks here and there as is stainless case back with dual case reference 2846 2848 and sharp engravings. Clover crown with old logo and light wear. The black waffle and gilt crosshair dial is perfect and stunning and with sharks tooth markers, arabics and seconds sub dial. (the mark around 8 is on the crystal) The 491 automatic movement dates to approximately 1956 and is winding, setting and running very well although I have no service history for it.
