Is it better to leave the original one on or will it hurt the value if it gets changed? Mine has a few tiny scratches. Nothing crazy but was just wondering.

No need to replace the hesalite.

Go get yourselves a tube of poly watch. It鈥檒l take out the scratches in no time

As has been said, this will work fine:

And not surprisingly, you'll even find threads on this topic here...

Polish or replace with authentic Omega crystal at a greater expense. Totally your preference, and the value of the watch is not affected. Just don't replace with a non-Omega generic crystal.

Novus plastic polishes also do a good job at perhaps a lower cost than Polywatch. I use rifle patches as the cloth because they're easier to handle and you can just throw them away when you're done. 2-1/2" square ones.

I used meguiars plastix with microfiber towels and it worked great. Some deeper scratches still remain but it's much better than before.
