    Hello all,

As many know, I've been roaming the interstates over that last 4 years. This week I'm making my first all Canadian trip from Montreal to Kamloops BC. I thought I'd share a few photos taken while taking much needed breaks along the way.

I know you’re on that road trip to make a living, but I’d do it for fun! Great photos.

Kamloops. Not a destination to look forward to spending any time at. Love those Rockies!

I think that is a cool respectable job being a trucker it’s if vital importance to so much of a countries economy etc. what do you guys do about traffic. I just need to drive around a couple cities and towns to during work to keep appointments. It’s not the job duties themselves that stress me it’s navigated in between trying to make everything on time that gets to me. Like when the gps tells you it’s forty minute drive by car but with traffic it’s an hour and 10 minutes.

If anyone has followed the chaos in Britain, what with tens of thousands of European migrant truck drivers having departed Britain, and returned home! Humanity would grind to a halt without trucks, and the folks who drive them.

I am although i wouldn’t be able to do this for 10-15 more years. It also helps to know that in maybe 4 years I’ll be able to retire.
I feel blessed to have an ever changing office view and no boss looking over my shoulder. The freedom is intoxicating. Its hard work but it really has whipped me it to shape. I certainly won’t get rich doing this but it’s a decent wage so long you put in long days.

I’ve been driving home along with two of my colleagues. One is a French national that moved to Canada 7 years ago. He drove in Britain and the EU for 25 years. He said the job is completely different over there and he would never go back driving there. Horrendous conditions he says.

Indeed. Winter is no fun on this job for various reasons. Tarping your loads is essential and a huge pain when they're frozen and full of ice. They can weigh as much as a hundred pounds. For driving, it's hell especially that I spend a lot of time around the Great Lakes. Lake effect snow is murder!
