Dan... what on early led you to that conclusion?
Of course I understand that they are unrelated... you assume too much.

Just re-read your OP and I think you will see where I am coming from. Maybe they are typos (or you write in a very confusing way), but you seem to conflate them repeatedly.

You seem to indicated that eBay buyers protection will protect your etsy purchase. And then later you warn against buying on eBay, which is unrelated to etsy and actually does have buyer's protection.

Typos are one thing... yes, I make those. But I think you are misreading... anyways, lets move on
Ok... so I wrote eBay once when I meant to write Paypal...

lol - I was actually just gambling on the slim possibility that this was legit
Welcome, Charlie, and thanks for the lol! I do think you're bringing gambling into a bit of disrepute here though. Backing an outsider for the Derby is risk; soaking my wallet in kerosene and playing with matches is certainty! 😁

That makes more sense. I assume you know that they are also not connected. I still don't understand your reference to "So beware of sellers on eBay offering Omega and Rolex for $300-500...", since your post applies to etsy, not eBay, but I guess it's no stranger than the rest of the thread. Who wastes time trying to buy a Speedmaster for $300 and then posts a thread about it. The scammers on etsy are famous. 🤨
