Thank you all for the information. I've received quite a lot of PMs. Currently I'm not going to sell this watch. But I will be interested in trade in this watch + cash for my grail connie if anybody is interested too. My grail connie would be a SS or solid gold cased, black piepan dial with crosshair, and arrowhead markers(WG or YG).
Atb,
Rick

That sure is a nice looking watch cqing and I'm sure you'll love wearing it. I know I would. That goes the same for sgk. Both look to be in great condition. Makes me want to add to my collection...only problem is if I get a new watch the Mrs wants a new purse 👎

Just got the watch, I was stunned by the condition and how beautiful it is. I feel the dial is unmarked! Such a delicate piece!

I wish that Omega would go back to making Constellations that look like those pictured in this thread. I have five Connies from the 1950's through the early 1960's in my collection and I love them all, but the modern Constellation design does absolutely nothing for me.

100% agree!
Longines launched their heritage line with some nice re-edition pieces. I wish Omega were doing something similar.

modern constellation is so ugly... In term of aesthetics of modern omega, I like planet ocean the most.

… and as said earlier absolutely stunning watch @cqing
As i never saw a vintage omega dress watch in person before, this time I was really stunned. Looking at the real watch is a totally different thing from looking at the magnified pictures.

i have to disagree, i like the fact that you have to work real hard to find a pristine vintage Constellation and cant just walk into a jeweller and buy a moden interpretation of one as you can with the Ploprof, Bullhead, CK2998, 105.003, all the museum editions, etc, etc

All these modern re-releases dilute the brand and its rich history IMO

Don't get me wrong. I'm not lamenting the fact that you have to put substantial effort into hunting for a vintage Constellation. I've been down that road a number of times and enjoy the thrill of looking for and finding just the right watch. What I meant is that I find the modern Constellation design -- other than the Globemaster -- to be downright ugly. I think that the contemporary Globemaster is a good example of what I wish the rest of the modern Constellation line was like. It pays homage to the classic Constellations with its pie pan dial and observatory logo, but it also has modern design elements (fluted tungsten carbide bezel, display case back, etc.). The result is a thoroughly modern watch but with a bit of a retro look.

I just bought the hobnail connie. Will post picture once I get it.
Lemme guess, Shanghai or HK dealer? All the watches you’ve showed are lovely but expensive. That cloisonné observatory dial haunts me. Good grab on the hobnail dial.

It's fascinating how a dial can captivate our attention and hold our interest. That dial both fascinates and mesmerizes me. Would love to see how they actually produced these dials. Does anyone have knowledge of how they were made?

I think the seller is not a dealer, but just a private collector located in north east China. In China, very few people like to collect vintage watches, let alone vintage Omega watches.

I believe this watch has been listed for quite a long time if not years... Not many people appreciates vintage watches in China. By the way, that cloisonné observatory watch is from another guy.
