I know, I know, and, yeah, they get a LOT of side eye if not outright derision but I like mine! I buy my watches as part of a broader experience, ie travel + keepsake, and the bracelets fit into that ...

So even when I'm not wearing an Omega watch I can sneak in memories from an Omega trip, so here are my summer combos of Germany & Switzerland:

I think the problem with them are the metal bits that are on the sailing bracelets.... they just end up constantly scratching your watch. 🙁

Ha, well, they won't be scratching those Sinns: DLC coated, tegimented, submarine steel 😎

That's gotta be the hairiest girls arm I've ever seen 😝😁😎
Ha, well, I gotta agree: I was gifted as small wristed, but what can we do other than bear the cross we were given? And, by "bear" I mean not whining about it. 😁

I chose to believe it doesn't look that weird in context, but that's probably wishful thinking

I used to do a lot of competitive sailing, but I never knew a bracelet was required for the activity, I now wish I knew, maybe that would've been a decisive competitive edge

I feel the same way, I bought this bracelet after my NTTD seamaster, of which the color theme I really love. In the pic I wore both on the same wrist but likely will end up wearing on different wrist as to not have a titanium war on my wrist between the bracelet and my watch. I agree w op, I may wear the bracelet as a reminder of the combo of the the colors when I dont feel I need to wear my NTTD watch, or when I want to wear my Apple Watch.

I posted this pic on the omega Reddit forum and got a lot of mixed opinions to say the least. Still love this purchase, and I’m not planning to have a big watch collection (have two omegas and an Apple Watch) so splurging on the bracelet to me was totally justified.

Does it have to be worn on the same wrist as the watch? I feel like it'd look much better on its own.

Could be!

Though I prefer multiple controversial fashion faux pas(es?) with my man jewelry: in addition to watch + bracelet on the left wrist, I have a fitness smart watch on my right.

Speaking as a sailor, I'd say the only jewelry you should have is a watch and a wedding ring... And I take the ring off when sailing

Can't say I ever saw the need for a wedding ring aboard or anywhere else for that matter

Yikes! These bracelets are starting at $330 to $510 and $1480 if you want gold. 😲

In think I`ll just use my natural born clumsiness to scratch my watch, much cheaper.

I've seen them as low as $65 on the seocndary market. But they're always in girly S or M sizes!

I just got a sailing bracelet gifted to me, not Omega, but I liked the feel and was considering of getting an Omega branded strap, but availability’s been hard for the one I want! Me personally i alternate wrists just to avoid scratches, but we shall see

Why, this sailor asks, are they called “sailing bracelets”. Unless they can perform a useful function, they seem superfluous and can actually get caught on stuff.

Oddly I find my right wrist sometimes a bit bare, with only wearing some plastic band my daughter made me.

I have thought many times picking up an Omega ‘sailing bracelet’ when I get an Omega (either in black to match a Speedy or green for the Seaweed).

However I got a firm ‘Hell NO’ from my partner.

Too bad the OP and other forum members don't have such sensible partners.

Yeah as a sailor, I don't want anything on my wrist that could get caught on a line or sheet and get me pulled off. Lines can whip around a lot. Everything gets beat up on a sailboat. I would never wear my nice watch. As soon as I get onboard, the watch goes in the seabag. G-Shock for the boat.
