I would get a vintage just to mess with them 馃槀馃槈

Found a solution.

Just got home with this.

Story is that I had a 39mm PO Summer Blue that I sold and started thinking I wanted another one. Then the new 4th gen PO was dropped.

I loved the LE liquid metal PO, but wasn't ready to pay the asking. Then after the new 4th gen PO, I became aware of the previous gens, which is how I learned that the third Gen had a 39mm and a ceramic dial like the liquid metal. Plus, with the new PO, these old 39s were disappearing.

As luck would have it, my local watch dealer just took in a 2024 39mm black dialed PO with full kit. So I texted him yesterday and picked it up today.

Still love the Ploprof, but this 39mm PO is more me. Not everyone likes shiney dials but I love them. I already knew how the 39mm fits my wrist so knew it would drap over it. I like the single barrel of the 8800 over the 8900 double barrel, but that might not be a big deal.

This thing is gorgeous to my eye. I like it so much better than my short fling with the Submariner 16800. Not even close.

(It's wierd to have a central second hand though. So used to the Speedmaster chronograph hand that doesn't normally move.)

I suck with Photoshop, but here's my attempt:

Could you help make this on the black bezel? I'm thinking about brushing my Gen4 PCL. Thanks.

They should鈥檝e released it with a fully brushed bracelet, but it is what it is. Rolex did it with the Daytona and the GMT, so I guess that鈥檚 the trend going forward.

Yeah I don't care for the PCLs but the Rolex ones are much more pronounced in the metal. The angles and flat links are a lot less pronounced on the PO from a mirror polish perspective.
