Spacefruit
··Prolific Speedmaster HoarderI have been going through drawers and I have decided to move on any watches that might absorb too much effort on my part - that is finding the right watchmaker and parts etc.
I bought this in Prague, about five years after the city was released from Communism. The watch shop owner had been an academic in communist times and had zero business experience, but was muddling along as he lost his position in the transition - like a lot of people.
Anyway, I got a lovely Omega from him, which I am keeping and this, which if I am not careful will divert me too much.
Free to anyone in UK with the hope that you will get it working and post the story on OF. Even though it's not an Omega.
I don't have a tool to open it, and as I said, I don't want to spend another second worrying about it. (It's really attractive, I ought to fix it, I don't know who to send it to, I don't want to get distracted, etc etc etc)
Runs intermittently - needs service/repair. Crown will wind and adjust hands, but sometimes hands do not disengage when you wind the crown in.
I could sell it, I suppose, but I am happy to send it to someone who will get it going again - If you sell it good luck to you. I just want to see it resurrected.
If you want it let me know, with your address in UK only, I will send it out.
First come, first served
