Both! I wish the rubber was on a deployment clasp.
Deployant not deployment, also I agree with you. The rubber strap should come with a deployant clasp.

I'm a bracelet guy, but the new rubber strap of the SM300 seems to be awesome, I'll buy the full watch and get the rubber later

Deployment means that the deployant has a deployment to hold together a two-piece rubber strap. 馃槈

New MSRP with rubber strap is $4900. New with bracelet $5200.
Rubber strap is $275 / bracelet is $575. Both from Omega Boutique.

Where is $$$ advantage for buying bracelet first?

Thanks - Ben.

Have you included the cost of a buckle or depolyant in your calculations?

Not sure. The rubber strap comes with a tang and buckle - no OEM deployant but I am sure you can rig one.

I think the steel bracelet has the deployant clasp built into it but you can also upgrade to a more adjustable clasp.

I am going to visit my Omega AD later today and have a chat about all of this.

Good Sunday!

Okay - I stand corrected and educated. Steel bracelet is $760 plus tax.

I should have done exactly as you said and ordered the steel to begin with.

Lesson learned! Ben.

Over the last few years and a lot of sacrifices i've managed to get the silver, blue and black Seamaster 300s, a Planet Ocean and a mint 1960s DeVille as you can see in the photo. Black 300's in for a service. Each diver has an aftermarket rubber strap with an Omega clasp, all bought for around 拢30 each on eBay and are just like genuine Omega ones only a fraction of the price. I bet i'm not the only one on here who's umd and ared over which one to wear on holiday or when going out, but as somebody already said, unless people are like us, watch people, nobody really notices what you have on your wrist.
