Just received an Uncle Seiko flat link 1035... I get that the arrows on the removable links are for the direction to drive the pin out BUT -- which direction do I go to put the pin back in once I am ready to reconnect the link(s)?

Reverse of the out- make sure you note the tapered or bulbed end of the pin- that goes in last. I usually lay the bracelet out on a cloth and as I push them out I keep them on the cloth in the direction they came out. Then remove the links and line it back up and the pins are right where they were and go right back in the way they came out

So the tapered/bulbed end comes out first when driving them out (thus going in last when driving back in)?
Just checking.

Correct. That’s what makes the pressure fit, so when you put it back in, it will slide in easily (as long as the holes in all the links are lined up- you may have to wiggle a little as you finesse the pins in) then you will hit resistance which is the bulbed end. You will need to press or drive it in to get then back in. I usually lay the bracelet in it’s side and press down with a large flat tool and they pop back in. You could also tap them in with a small nylon hammer.
There are specific tools for this purpose, but who doesn’t love using a butter knife as a screwdriver?!?

While we’re on the topic: anyone use these? Worth buying one?
