WTF Japan only??
It was sold all around the world. Are you trying an artificial "hype" for this model?
Seems like spam.

I'm no expert, but was looking at purchasing one of these a few months. I saw a bunch for sale on different sites including C24, ebay, etc. With box and papers. They seemed like they were all going to 3500-4500, and they were not getting much love. I decided to pass. I would be shocked if these were actually rare.

I have seen these in several places for new in the range of years made at boutiques outside of Japan.
Several years apart in Airports in Australia.
Watches of Switzerland in Sydney had them new when I bought my Modern Speedmaster in 2013.

So not Japan only and no way a limited to 500 or even 2000. These were available everywhere and thousands sold.

A dealer in Sydney has sold probably 10 over the years also.

Your not going to get a list and if you do expect 10,000 or more. ( Thousands of people who have them will not be on forums like here, or may be on forums in different languages )

I love this model which not enough recognized for me. Make an artificial hype ? already done for this model from 2012 and other many Omega.
Also, i don't think i have this power...... Japan only or not ?? I received since yesterday, some post that it has been sold in many countries. I'm ok with that but from the web, some articles talking Japan only. I asked today Omega to get an official answer. What i would like to know is the others dealers from other country bought from Omega switzerland or some Japan Omega dealers or Omega Japan and sell back to their home country. Sometimes it's what' happened when something is sold only in one country.

Here is the information on the Omega Extranet for a true Japan only watch - the Japan racing dial:

W SP MOON P II JAP 42 ST/ST
REF 35704000
000 MATERIAL: Steel / Métal
Calibre: 1861
In collection: NO

Note the three letters in the top line "JAP" - these indicate watches that are exclusive to Japan.

Here is the Mitsukoshi Speedmaster:

W SP MOON P II JAP 42 ST/ST SILV
REF 35703100
000 MATERIAL: Steel / Métal
Calibre: 1861
In collection: NO

Same thing - "JAP" in the description.

Here is what is shown for this brown dial:

W SP MOON P II 42 ST/ST
REF 31130423013001
000 MATERIAL: Steel Other / Métal
Calibre: 1863
In collection: NO

You will notice what is missing from the description here - this is not a Japan only watch...

Also, for the futur value, my opinion is from 2021, there is a new Moonwatch (sure you know that) and more expensive from 500 to 1 000 € and follow Rolex politics. Does it means that the speed from 90's and 2 000 's will increase, for me yes. The second market will continue to grow up
specially for the hold speed because the brown dial is now an hold speed as many others speed form these last 20 years.
It's seems to me that you don't need a discussion forum, but a blog instead.

Thank you for this information.
The both Japan racing and mitsokushi are limited edition for Japan market.

The brown dial is not limited edition. I'm waiting the answer from omega and let you know

Could you please tell me how going to Omega extranet?

The Omega Extranet is not a publicly accessible site.

You are correct, it is not a limited edition, and it is not specific to Japan only - not sure how many people have to confirm this for you...

These were certainly sold in the UK, they weren't very popular.

From Omega website

2013 is not older than 10 years

Do you have an official paper to said 10 000 pieces or more ?

If they were available everywhere in the world for way over 5-6 years and still available 3+ years after they stopped making them. You are dreaming if you think there is less than 8-10 thousand around in the world let alone you assuming only 500 or 2000 ish

Beautiful! Never knew that a brown-dial Speedy ever existed. Looks great!

I am super curious about the bracelet. How is the taper on the new 1771/1 you have? I am looking to replace my 1998. I have the uncle seiko 1171 and the Forstner flat link, but would like to have one from Omega.

Thanks!

It's my deduction

Produced for Japan country only. If you take 80 watches sold per year after 6 years of production, total could be near 500.
Some Omega dealers in Japan had the watch in the shop sometimes not and need an order from the customers.
A part of the watches have been sold after the end of production in 2014, 2015 which means during 2007 to 2013 a part has not been sold.

The 500 is NOT a confirmation but just my own analize. I can be wrong of course.

You have seen many for sale, ok but how many ? Maybe some of them with same serial numbers which have been re-sold
Your analysis is way off!!!
