Rolex Submariner with red hands?

Hi guys,

I’m new on this forum and dropping a question immediately 😉

A friend of mine is selling this Rolex Submariner. I really love the watch but he and I dont know a lot about the exact reference and value Sorry i’m more into Omega but this Rolex really got me. It has red hands and a quick search on the internet doesnt help me out.

Can you help me out with the reference and value?

Not red hands. Red reflection from whatever is in front of it, possibly a red shirt or wall maybe.

That's just reflections from something red - the hands aren't red 😀

I shouldn't be revealing this, but the hands actually are red, as they are rose gold. This is the new Rolex Sub-Rosa-Mariner.

Put me in the skeptical column on this one. Either the OP or his friend must have taken that photo and would know the hands aren't red.

It could be one of the famed chameleon subs , place the watch so it reflects red or yellow or any colour you wish & the hands will probably match the reflective colour .

That, and I also have a hard time believing that someone who can find OF, create an account, post a thread in the proper Subforum (the dead giveaway😁) and know about reference no. on watches can’t find info on ref.no. or value of a Submariner. Of course it could just be a guy who would rather have a good oldfashioned online conversation instead of “googleing” for all answers and that is fine by me 😉

And btw the watch in the OP is fake. Not a real Rolex. You can easily tell by the alignment of the bezel. The big triangle with the lume pip should be centered on 12 o’clock.
