I have for sale a full set Rolex Submariner ref.16613 in incredible conditions, with an unpolished case and an amazing blue dial that has turned to a magnificent purple; probably the most beautiful 16613 I have ever had the chance to see.
X serial dates back to 1991, the original tritium 'bluesy' dial that has taken on rich purple colour and not only does the case back retain its original sticker, the watch is preserved in pristine condition.
The watch was purchased in 1993 at the historical Switzerland Rolex AD 'Bucherer' in Lugano and it comes with the complete full set, including the original Rolex guarantee.
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
Introduced by Rolex in 1953, the Submariner led the dive watch's ascent from tool to luxury item during the '80s.
In 1988 the first “modern” non-transitional Submariner two-tone (or "Rolesor") was released: it came with a black dial and bezel and a blue dial and bezel, the so called "bluesy", like the ref. 16613 we have here today.
The different materials and colour pigments used for a small batch of the early "bluesy" dials, produced around the early 90's, provided over the time a special characteristic: collectors noticed some aging to a deep purple hue which makes these watches rare and very collectible.
CASE:
Even and thick case with original bevels that in my opinion was never polished.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original Rolex caseback with caseback sticker.
BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex 'flat four' blue insert in perfect conditions that is beginning to take on a beautiful fade.
DIAL:
The dial is an original tritium 'bluesy' that has turned to the most amazing purple with a beautiful patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault.
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 93153-18 with 401b endings in excellent conditions with 12 links.
The clasp is unpolished and the letter code (R) matches the year of the serial.
SET:
The watch comes with the full set: original Rolex box (inner/outer) with sticker, the Rolex warranty certificate, the Rolex warranty holder, the Rolex translation booklet, the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklet, Rolex anchor, Rolex price tag.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 3135 caliber running well.
Asking 16500 euro insured shipping included.
