·I managed to acquire this beautiful 1973 Rolex Submariner 1680 and the condition suggests it was properly used and never abused. Question is the watch has a 3.8 mil serial number and according to the Ed Delgado of DRSD.com, he believes thatl "single red" subs have serial numbers between 2.1 to 4.0 mil. Could it be that the watch went to a RSC for service and the original dial was replaced with the all white variant? Or could this be one of the earliest 1680 with the white Submariner dial? Nevertheless, what matters is I'm very happy with my newest acquisition.
