I have for sale a beautiful complete set “transitional” GMT Master ref.16750 from 1984, Italy retailed in December 1984, straight from the first owner.
Fantastic vintage condition case with factory finishes and chamfers, original ‘Pepsi’ insert with an exquisite sky blue fading.
The glossy dial is flawless with very attractive patina with matching tritium hands, date disk is original with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bracelet is original 78360 with correct ‘I’ date code, all 13 links, correct 580 ends, clasp clearly showing factory finish.
Further, this example comes complete as a “full-set”, presented with its original Rolex inner and outer box, punched warranty certificate, guarantee holder with serial tag, ‘Oyster’ and ‘GMT Master’ instruction booklets, translation booklet, both swing tags and calendar card.
8.4 serial dates back to 1984 and dial is the transitional gloss dial with white gold surrounds on the hour markers.
The watch was purchased at the historical Rolex AD "Piccinini" in Mantova (Italy) in 1984 and I got it directly from the first owner.
The watch comes with box and papers, including the original guarantee (punched papers).
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
CASE:
The case is even and thick, and in my opinion it was never polished.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 16750 caseback.
BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex blueback "Pepsi" insert in perfect condition with an amazing fading.
DIAL:
The dial is an original "white gold surrounds" with a beautiful creamy patina even on all plots, and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light.
No craquelê on the dial, which is also very rare since most of the "white gold surrounds" dials are "spider" or "stardust".
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 78360 with 580 endings, unpolished and in very good condition.
Also the clasp is unpolished and original to the watch and the clasp code (I) matches the serial.
BOX AND PAPERS
The watch comes with the full set: the original Rolex box (inner/outer), the Rolex warranty certificate (punched papers), the Rolex warranty holder (green folder), the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklet ('Your Rolex Oyster') and the original purchase receipt.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 3075 caliber running well.
Original "open 6" data disc.
The movement was serviced 4 years according to the previous owner.
Asking 17500 Euro, insured shipping included.
I am not interested in any trade.
Payment method - I will accept bank wire and Wise.
