16700 seems to be a very popular choice here on OF, here鈥檚 mine a U Series from 98 bought with B&Ps from OF. The bezel has a nice pink fade, like so many do, praying for the Lume to turn a lovely shade too. 馃榾

I'm searching for a Jubilee bracelet for mine now. I love the Oyster bracelet but the look of the Jubilee knocks me out. Gotta have one!

This is what a matte dial 16750 should look like, this one is NOS. Note the corrosion on hands which happened a lot during this period, many of these watches had their hands replaced at service. The chamfers are thinner than those of the earlier 1675's. The facet line on the crown guards is evident on this reference, its worth mentioning that this line was not always in the exact same place and can be more or less prominent.

This one has the rarer mark 2 dial (The "H" in the word chronometer is to the left of the "A" in the word master. There seems to be no specific year for this dial and both mark 1 and 2 were used at the same time. The mark 2 dials often have a stronger patina, as seen on this example.

We can tell the different between the original insert and a service replacement by looking at the number "18", on the service insert the numbers 1 and 8 are closer together, the font is also slightly fatter on the original.

I found this one a few days ago, the watch is located in Hong Kong... They are asking $18,500 USD

Thanks David,

After years of buying watches based on pics my experience dictates that the decision to purchase a 16750 (which will not be cheap due to my specific requirements) will have to be based on being able to view the watch in the metal unless the seller can supply a set of exceptional pics.

I am willing to travel to do this but as I am London based Hong Kong is just a little out of my comfort zone 馃槈.

Jack.

Good move, Jack..
Regardless, the seller - NBTimes - on the @djmusicman's thread has a little history in the watchbusiness... No longer on the forums.

I did do a little research on the seller NBTimes and it didn't make good reading.

My 1990 16710 gmt Pepsi. Recently arrived back from a service. Just starting to get a little creamy patina action going on, a little hard to tell from pics but definitely turning which is great to see on a 16710. :0)

Just come across this thread. I鈥檓 big gmt fan and want to share all my babies with you. Hope you like them. They are mixture of vintage and modern, mainly 16710, 16700, 1675.

And yes I like jubilee and prefer jubilee with gmt. They are very comfortable to wear. Look good with the faded insert too. Such classic watch.

Thanks for viewing 馃榾. Cheers guys.
