Here's my latest GMT - lovely gilt dial. Worn most days for 35+ years, then stored in a drawer for 15 years because the strap broke!

The only compromise is that I have to let a few other pieces go, including one of my 16710s, but I think it is well worth it!

Just bought a 2006 GMT Master 2 116710 LN; I think it compliments the Ultraman really nicely ( photo of both for comparison purposes).

I had been thinking about getting this particular model (well, and a speedy Tintin but that’s another story) for sometime but then bang! It’s discontinued at Baselworld and pre-owned prices suddenly start hitting the roof. Anyway, knowing that I might not get another chance to obtain one in decent condition (as it becomes ever rarer and more expensive) I headed off to a well known UK grey dealer and paid the (higher) price. After having owned it for a week, it (like the speedy) is a great acquisition and well worth the financial pain. 👍

In its least worn combo. When I put it on I wonder why that is.....

I love the Rolex GMT also - I don't have my 16710 Coke or my 216710 BLNR anymore, but at least I have this one.

Gone, to help pay for the BLRO

Gone, to help fund my Speedy Tuesday ST1 Panda dial (it felt small on my wrist vs the newer models).
