Exactly! Like a bezel with a dot OVER 90 or NEXT to 90, or an applied logo or painted logo, or a step dial/not a step dial, or straight lugs, or a crown with 24 teeth or 30 teeth...wait, that's not Rolex, it's a different brand, sorry.

The fact that those comments are not about a Rolex is what makes them enthralling, if they were about a Rolex they'd be mind numbingly boring! 😁

Don’t forget hangar S, drop r, onyx vs lumed, lemon yellow vs pumpkin spice mochachino lume, chocolate tropical baby poo dials, lyre vs strait, to serif or not to serif- that is the question.

The 1675/3 with a brown dial was never fitted with a monocolour insert.

There is a time and place for everything, this seems like the appropriate time and place for this:

come up with a connection between Madrid, Spain and a Rolex GMT
The Puerta del Sol is literally the heart of Madrid and Spain itself, the spot where all the roads in Spain start counting their distance. The Puerta is located in the very heart of Madrid. It serves as the kilometre zero from which all radial roads in Spain are measured. This is demonstrated by a plaque on the floor of the square, marking the exact point of Km.0 The link with a Rolex GMT should be fairly obvious.

Makes total sense now.
@spacemission is angling for a limited edition Rolex.

The Rolex GMT -3degrees 40’.

And why not -Rolex love putting as much crap on their dials as possible - it’s bound to be a big seller……

Hmmm...mainland Spain is located entirely within one time zone, so I fail to see the connection to a watch which can track multiple time zones.

A single photo like this would be a better representative of the watch's functionality:

So my thinking went something like this. Greenwich marks the Prime Meridian at 0° 0′ 0″, serving as the world’s reference point for longitude and time zones. In a similar vein, Madrid’s “Kilometer Zero” at the Puerta del Sol is the starting point from which all road distances in Spain are measured. Although one pertains to global time and the other to a national road network, both can be seen as key reference points in their respective systems—Greenwich for mapping and timekeeping worldwide, and Madrid for measuring highway distances throughout Spain.

Look, I know its a bit of a poor link really, but its the best I could come up with to link Rolex and Madrid.

I live near the beautiful building in your picture, Flamsteed House at the Royal Observatory. If you look at the left hand tower you can see the bright red Time Ball, which was one of the world's earliest public time signals, distributing time to ships on the Thames and many Londoners.
The Time Ball was first used in 1833 and still operates today. Each day, at 12.55pm, the time ball rises half way up its mast. At 12.58pm it rises all the way to the top. At 1pm exactly, the ball falls, and so provides a signal to anyone who happens to be looking. In the pictures below you are literally looking at GMT. In the Observatory are some wonderful watches and clocks made by John Harrison.

I think all this just proves your point - a picture of Greenwich really is more relevant to a Rolex GMT!
