Rolex bracelet clasp spring bar stuck

Hi everyone,

I've recently tried to readjust the bracelet length on my Rolex 6251 H bracelet by moving the clasp 'pin hole' position. I don't know if I was careless of over enthusiastic with pushing the spring bar, but essentially the spring bar will not pop back out on both sides and I can currently only have one side popped out at a time. Hope the following photos demonstrate what I mean.

(1st photo, highlighting the spring bar that is not popping out from both ends)
(2nd & 3rd photo, close up of the side that is popped out and the other side that doesn't pop out)

Has anyone run into such problem in the past, and if so, is there something I can do, or should I take it to a local watchmaker?

Many thanks in advance and hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Just replace the spring-bar, it's an expendable part.

Thanks Dan, and sorry, bit of a neophyte around this - how would I go about pulling / pushing out the old bar as it seems pretty well wrapped around by the clasp, and insert the new spring bar?

It might be a tight fit, but you should be able to push or tap it out, like with a press-fit pin. BTW, clasp spring-bars have shorter protruding pins than spring-bars for lugs. If you're not feeling confident, it's something a watchmaker could do quickly, and they would probably have an assortment of the right spring-bars already.

Thank you very much for your advice, I do think I've done enough damage for today so will seek some professional help!

I doubt you did anything wrong. Spring-bars get fatigued and corroded, and they just fail.
