I was always under the impression that this reference’s dial utilized gilt printing with a relatively matte finish. I know service dials exist but usually with tritium based lume. This example is not gilt nor does it appear to be a tritium dial (possible relume though). It appears glossy and doesn’t seem to be a redial. Would it be considered an early service dial, OEM or one of the many replicas out there?

I believe they are indeed glossy. silver print is also considered "gilt".

I was under the impression that this reference only came with gold gilt dials originally and that non gold ones are usually considered service dials.
