Hi guys, what do you think about this rolex 1680 dial and handset. Its been badly relumed, but priced accordingly.

I'm not really an expert, but it looks like a legit Mk1 dial to me.

Do you think its worth 1000USD for the set?
With prices as crazy as they are, I’d say a clean dial like that -even relumed- is acceptable at $1000 (especially with hands).

An Original minty dial with great tritium is now pushing $3k.

It’s definitely worth $1k, at worse you can get it relumed properly down the road.

Must be nice to be rich.....

I think too.

I prefer to buy an exceptional piece than 10 pieces without interest. But that's just my opinion.

For those who have more common sense than $$, dials can be relumed to perfection these days, which makes picking up parts at reasonable prices very attractive.

Good luck with your purchase.

Yes the outcome is that I would have a very nice dial and handset for 1k, so I am very happy. Thanks for your comments guys.

I would rather pay 4k for a good dial and handset.

Based on the OP's recent threads, it seems that he is putting together a project watch, so it would be silly for him to pay top dollar for parts.
