Help on a vintage mono pusher chronograph

hello to all 😀
I never had a watch project and don’t know if it’s really worthy or not. I found this nice caliber and I though that could be the one to star a project . Any thoughts from what watch could be? Or what caliber may be ?

On the mainplate next to the serial number, you can see RFV and an arrow identifying it as “Robert Frères, Villeret”, formed in 1858 who later became Minerva.

Have a look at the Minerva calibres to see if one looks the same. I did a 19/9 CH from the early twenties and the serial was about 1250000 so, your one is probably 1930s.

The crystal is going to be easy to get. The dial could be made but it would be nice to find the original model to replicate it (provided that you want to do that). Is it missing the hinged case back ? That one would be the most complicated thing to make... (well, not for someone good at making watch parts, but it won't come cheap)
That's a potentially good and interesting looking watch. It's good that you at least have the case, crown and movement. Sure looks to be a 30s-40s case...

I forgot to mention that it is missing the hour wheel. They sometimes do as those can just fall off if you're not careful. I'm guessing that the hour wheel of other similar sized movements might fit. Not a certainty though.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I asked him to push on the crono and send video.... it’s seems that need to be checked as the Chrono not running :-(

The photos aren't that great so I can't tell whether it has other problems. The missing wheel does not affect the chronograph function but I think that I see a few other issues with the movement. Some gears look like they need to be realigned or something.

It's possible that a complete servicing might fix everything but it is also possible that new parts might be needed.

do lots of research before buing this because it will probably be a difficult
project to complete.....

True and without being sure about the caliber working perfectly makes me scare as not easy to find parts
