I worked around the corner from there for 28 years, sure glad I retired a couple of years ago. Beverly Hills ain't what it used to be. 馃が
There have been 7 robberies in the last several months. Most are targeting Rolex wearers. Glad I own Omegas. 馃榿

These days anyone walking out of Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex and yes, even a lowly Omega Boutique can be a target. There are plenty of creeps out there who are looking to relieve you of your shiny object on your wrist, and maybe your wife's diamond ring, too. You can't always wear long sleeves or park in a spot where you don't have to do a little walking to get to safety. Driving an upscale car just raises more flags to the crooks that you may have valuable jewels or watches. And it seems to be getting worse as many prosecutors are turning a blind eye to street crime. Time to amp up our observance of our surroundings.

My sister is a die hard democrat- as is my whole family (I am the moderate). She is a prosecutor in LA and last time I saw her we all joked that she sounded like a Republican!! 馃槻 Needless to say, the city鈥檚 lawyers aren鈥檛 happy not being able to do their jobs.

I think taxes, traffic, and high cost of living are the primary reason. Many people in San Francisco and LA can move to Utah, Nevada, or Texas and triple their home size with a huge decrease in taxes. Now that COVID allows everybody to work from home, there was little reason to stay.

Been on my wishlist to visit for so long. Trouble is, there as so many things to see (beaches, mountains, deserts mentioned above) and do, where do you start....?

We still have net population growth and rising property values. We still have a budget surplus, falling crime rates.
