Yep, it looks like it's a similar set up as mine was (I've since sold it). Your watchmaker needs to press down on the crystal to push the inner case out the back. It's likely then that the crystal will lift off.

EdtheAussie, I've seen 2 Gay Freres bracelets on this watch, yours, and the "fine bricks" style shown in this video: https://omegaforums.net/threads/roamer-stingray-jet-time-chronograph.8510/ Scroll about half way down to see the video - great and very informative and defining. It doesn't show the clasp, but both I've seen have clasps that say "Rockshell" and are configured just as yours. Interestingly I've never seen a Rockshell model with either of these bracelets. I'll find a pic of one of these bracelets and post it.

This one just sold recently on Uhrforum.de with a bracelet very similar to yours without the "Rockshell" engraved into it. However it's with a CD and not a JT, and the words look stamped in instead of engraved like yours probably is. It's a slightly different style, definitely looking like a newer style. It doesn't look like a GF bracelet to me.

I've had a couple of these, and they're great. The prices stagnated around $1000 for a long time. Glad to see they're trending up. The Rockshell bracelet, however, fits another model, not the Jet. I found them comfortable for a large watch, so you should enjoy it!

Yes, mine's quite comfortable though I have it on a NATO. Have you ever seen this on a GF bracelet that didn't have Rockshell stamped on the clasp? Or an ad or other literature?

The uhrenforum.de has been a great resource for me. Here's a lengthy vintage Roamer thread still active after 8 years: https://uhrforum.de/threads/interessengemeinschaft-vre-vintage-roamer-enthusiasten.73407/ In one of the later pages a member has given a link to an ad that gives us a definitive conclusion about whether the Stingray chronos came with a Rockshell bracelet. https://uhrforum.de/attachments/roamer_ad_1970_01-jpg.1818881/
It's a German ad, but if you look at the photo of the Stingray CD (this one has the Val. 23 movt) you can see the price for the watch with a Tropicband or with the optional Rockshell-Spezialband. Throughout the years of this thread members have shown photos of their Stingrays with Rockshell bracelets, with one member saying it was an option. And I've seen at least 1 past eBay auction (maybe 3 years ago) where the seller had this bracelet and claimed it was an option and original. And many sale sites since that have it paired with a GF Rockshell bracelet. Most of the actual Rockshell watches, if not all, have special lugs that can only be paired to bracelets not of this style GF bracelet we're seeing on all of these Stingrays.

I've found the owner of the CD I show above on Corfam strap laying next to a non-Rockshell Roamer bracelet that I didn't believe was a GF bracelet. He's a watchmaker and confirms that it isn't a GF. It looks like I'll be buying this from him regardless, but it ain't over til it's over.

And an ad for the Val 23 JT mentioning the Rockshell Spezialband. Not as good resolution, but it's there.

will be looking out to get one of those JOT watches, all the bling of a modern watch but vintage.
