I received an email this afternoon mentioning that the Caliber 1861 is being retired, has anyone else heard this as well?

So, is Omega developing another movement for the Speedmaster, or will the 1863 become the new standard?

The 3861 will be the new standard movement.

The 1863 is an unlikely candidate since it’s essentially an 1861 with a higher level of finishing. The more likely successor is the 3861 accompanied by a significant price increase.

    This.

The 3861, I suspect with a price increase within the mid £6k mark.

Edit: Although I am surprised so soon after the launch of the Snoopy 3 using the same movement...

The 3861 will be the new movement. The real question is what else will change? An applied logo, ceramic bezel and flat link bracelet would be nice, but I doubt that we’re getting all of those.

Please share it with us thanks. I don't mean to sound skeptical, but until I see something official from Omega...well...

Exactly this. This entire thread reminds me of the sort of discussion you’d expect to find in Among Us, post-corpse discovery.

Where would you like me to start in terms of how-to-spot-a-fake-schpiel? I’ve had more convincing emails from Nigerian oligarchs.

Again, I don't mean to sound skeptical, but an unsigned letter, with some odd grammar and no model number of the watch they are trying to sell you before they run out...just "Omega Speedmaster Professional" and "Caliber 1861"...I have a hard time taking this seriously...
