    Hi all,

I'm new to the collecting of watches and need some advice/clarification.

I am looking to purchase a late 70's/early 80's Omega De Ville.

The first seller wishes not to remove the back (I want to see if the movement numbers and frame numbers to the service card).

The second seller sent me further pictures: These match what is on the removed back photo.[IMG]

I love both of them, and before I part with cash for which item I was hoping a check of authenticity from experts first please.

Any support would be much appreciated,
    Kindest Regards,
    Clark

    Hi.
Please post photos instead of links, which most people are reluctant to blindly click on.

Looks good to me. That red oval case is an Omega service return case, so presumably it has been to Omega for a service sometime. Could be worth asking about the service date and any paperwork. Be aware that modern batteries don't last much more than a year in these.

Thank you so much for the responses, I ended up going for the first one (Champagne/white) coloured face De Ville.
