Request for assistance

Hi, guys.
I’m a complete layman when it comes to watches. I just got this watch from my grandpa and need some assistance identifying the model/year of it. Could someone help me with some source of information about it?
Thanks

Watch seems real from the onset, serial puts it at 1963 to 1965. Would be best in the future to post a watch pic with hands at 10 and 2. This allows for better viewing and critique. One image seems gold, the other silver. Seems 14k perhaps and if working properly in respect to it's age, it may be up-wards to 1k......cheers

If the bracelet isn’t your style, it would look great on a black leather strap. You will want to take it to a watchmaker to get it serviced before you start using it.

Stay tuned for some guidance from the UG experts here

It's gold, 18k, probably cal 262, with reprinted dial, H/M hand not original, or crown, worth gold scrap value plus maybe a small amount for the mvmt if it's in good shape. Since it's family, I would either enjoy it as is, or look for an original dial that will fit, which can be trial and error. Good luck!

also just to be 100% sure it's a UG case would be good to have inside caseback pics, and also a movement shot...

Hi, thanks for the comment
But it can’t be from the 1960’s, mate, my grandpa emigrated europe in 1947 and he brought it with him

interesting, cal 128, don't see those as much. Is it possible to see the inside case back (not the exterior). Need to see if there is UG markings on the inside. The fit between the cal and the case looks really wonky.

It’s wonky because it wasn’t properly closed when i took the picture

cool, well it's a really nice and unusual gold case 👍
If it were me, in the long term I would keep an eye out for an original dial/hands, and enjoy it in the meantime......
