I'm in SW Florida as well. Have yet to find a local watch maker. I still send them out for service.

Been kicking round Naples for years, family there and had a place, I doubt very much you will find what you are looking for.

I live on the other side of Florida (south Florida) and my general feeling is that we don’t have good watchmakers anywhere in the state. Or at least I’ve never found one. Good luck but likely need to ship out of state.

Rik Dietal at Time Care Inc has a good reputation:

Used to have a shop in Seminole here in the Tampa Bay Area but has moved north and only does mail order business now from what I understand. Not in SW Florida, of course, but still in the state.

There are several watchmakers here in the Tampa Bay area I have used for Speedmasters - including an old Flightmaster. They can source parts like pushers if you want/need them. Prices are not cheap, though - about what you’d pay Omega for servicing a modern Speedmaster. And they won’t service coaxial movements. Both do work out of family-owned jewelry stores, though, so you’d have to deal with the sales staff as a go between, not the watchmaker. PM me if you want info.

Reviving this... anybody find a good watchmaker for vintage servicing / care on the east side of the state? I'm in Boca now and not super keen on shipping some of my vintage pieces all the way to New York despite the great work Steve/Grand Central Watch has done for me. Saw an AWCI listing (https://awci.memberclicks.net/find-a-professional) for Joel Tillem (https://www.jclockco.com/services.html) if anyone is familiar with his work. The other listings looked to be jewelery stores in Miami or Ft Lauderdale which I am highly skeptical of...

Any other resources or recommendations?

This won’t help you find someone close to Boca. I took in a pocket watch to a local watchmaker here in Ft Lauderdale. They said $965 to service it. Seems way high for a simple time piece I just purchased here which runs. I’ll be interested to see if anyone recommends someone as I’ve yet to find one I trust down here.
