·As title says, im looking for a reputable or trustworthy watchmaker who can repair some Vintage Omega's that i own. Now with one of the watches, the SMP 300 i was thinking of sending to Omega since it seems it can still be repaired by them and doesn't require being sent to Switzerland. The other 2 watches ( Seamaster and Constellation) are more vintage and have heard that Omega isn't the best for repairing vintage watches. For that reason I am looking for maybe another watch maker who can repair the watches and have them work perfectly. Also I question i have is if replacing parts for the movement is seen as a bad thing? Like is the reason people don't like Omega repairing vintage watches is because they will replace parts with new parts, or is it for other reasons ( since i personally have no problem with replacing parts if it means the watch will work as expected, especially if Omega gives you the old parts back which they do). Anyways the watches are attached. The SMP 300 is semi-rare (it seems) and the Constellation is an 18k gold version, unfortunately the bezel is dented but hopefully isn't to severe (it does not bother me since its not noticeable when wearing). Just wondering where are some places to send these watches for repair, if Omega is not the best to send to?
