Replace parts or complete movement?

Yes I did but my watchmaker has raised doubts. He may only be performing the CYOA dance because he hasn't done it. I thought I'd ask for confirmation before laying out more $$ in vain (My CFO frowns on that)

2627 houses a 353 so many 355 parts will fit as they both derive from the 330 base caliber, but it needs care when selecting parts.
2627 came with both 353 and 355.

The watch in my avatar has a 355.

Oddly, some Omega literature calls the 355 a "chronometer", but the dial and movement are not marked as such.

I am curious if as I believe this is a redial? I don't have enough expertise to discern subtle font issues and didn't see any here but the defect in the finish near the 3 seems off. Can you all educate me please. I decided that it is the best dial I've found and have it coming as the replacement for the redial that I can't abide now.

I'm no expert but looks like it may be a refinished dial. With that said, I don't think it looks bad.

Either way, I thought it was a vast improvement and that's why I pulled the trigger on it. What are you seeing to make you think it's refinished (I'm not arguing just curious)?

The printing looks a little "off" as in not as crisp or even as I would imagine the original would be. But I do agree with you, that dial looks 10x better than the current dial on your watch.

It's a bad eBay photo, but I'd say it's original based on lume, font positioning, font style.

The lume does look good. Im reconsidering my prior statement that its a refinish. Does look pretty good.

The lettering is done in somewhat shiny paint which is slightly raised. Here are a couple more shots. I'm not sure they're much if any better....

If you're "no expert" then why are you commenting?

This is only one of mine.

Heck based on the ebay pic I thought the same thing. I couldn't see any serifs but they're on it in person. You even seem to have captured some of the gleam on the shiny script. God. I wish I could take a decent photograph!!! By the way I like the bracelet!

By the way I like the bracelet!
Jacoby-Bender "Champion" polonaise mesh, though not many know that term. They were available in both 18mm (23/32") and 11/16", which is sometimes accurately but misleadingly identified as 17mm, as 11/16" is 17.25mm.

I stumbled across an old Omega advertisement that showed one of these bracelets on a Seamaster, and that was all I needed to make it a default on my KO 2627. 😀
