Both are beautiful. And the other cost twice as much.

But for pure horological ecstacy, which would you get? The Gronefeld (about USD50K) or the Journe (about USD100K).

Thinking of which piece to get next year for my 45th birthday.

I would imagine both would be a pleasure not only to hold and wear but to look at and observe.

And would love to get the salmon dial version of either (or both, if am lucky).

Just adopt me. You can’t see me, but I’m way more rewarding!

Do you also have a secondary source of power?

    Or do you resonate?

    :)

I’m a great cook and even better bartender. Not a shabby semi professional driver either.

Choose Gronefeld, it looks like it has better water resistance :).
I would go for the salmon dial, Gronefeld represents the idea in a minimalist way.

Gronefeld all the way. I find the new Resonance less alluring than the old one.

The Gronefeld Remontoire has an amazing salmon dial, I love the blued hands, the case is sexier than the Journe's, and the movt is gorgeous.

Put me down for the Resonance in platinum with a salmon dial. Outside of Breguet no other watchmaker has executed this highly important with such a radical design. The dial is balanced and elegant, all the finishing is superb and the movement is horologically important and museum-worthy quality movement to stare at
