Redialed ref 4444?

I was window shopping on ebay when I came across this alleged original 1948 Oyster precision:

Then I noticed the "T Swiss made T", which as far as I know is at least a 60's thing :/

I'm trying to develop an eye for this stuff. What else is wrong with it?

That's an oyster case with a screw down crown...definitely not from the 40s! You are correct, probably 60s to early 70s even.

Ed, Rolex was making Oyster cases with screw-down crowns in the '20s! The crown on this one looks pretty modern, though.

OP, this is definitely a refinished dial. This reference is from the later '40s-50s I believe. It's a relatively small, 32mm watch, but slightly bigger than a Speedking. The case SN would date it more accurately.

Doh! My bad...but that case looks much more modern than 40s, more 60s even 70s.
