Hi everyone, I am just starting to get my feet wet in the world of vintage watches and have already fallen in love with Omegas. I saw this one available on eBay, and something about the Seamaster text threw me off. I wanted to get opinions from folks far more knowledgeable than myself. Thank you!

Yeah I'd give that one a hard pass, the sight of that terrible Seamaster handwriting tells you all you need to know.

Good instincts on both counts! This is a re-dial - the 'Seamaster' text is not original.

Since much of the value of vintage watches lies in the dial, it's a good idea to walk away
