There’s no text there, how can it be a redial. Someone’s stripped the text from the dial and hasn’t even bothered to redial it.

I just think it looks like a dial that has been painted. That’s why I’m asking. I’m new to all this, so that’s why I reach out for help, so I don’t buy anything stupid. Actually I got no issue with it being damaged, I just don’t want a repainted dial.

Your choice - but that said, why bother asking. It would look much better with a good redial.

I still believe we are Beta Testers for Psy101 courses at some Universities.

Ok so avoid this watch. A stripped dial is no better than a redial and this one is also in very poor condition. Unless you have a very, very tight budget and it’s for sale for say £50, avoid it.

Okay, thanks a lot! It’s way more than 50£. I will avoid it. The most about this watch, is that case. I love it.

seller says it’s the original dial
It might mean the original metal under the paint, but it certainly didn't look like that when it left the Omega factory.

The most about this watch, is that case. I love it.
Maybe the seller has a picture of the inside of the case back. There will be a case reference or model number there. If you can get that, you can search for similar watches. Maybe one will have a truly original dial.

As noted several times, not painted. Stripped, wiped, cleaned, erased.

That case is very worn. Look at some nice pristine examples in the forums here. I think you will grow to like them better.

seller says it’s the original dial
The seller is probably telling the truth, the dial is original.
What they are neglecting to mention is that, at some time in the past, somebody attempted to clean the dial, thereby stripping off the top lacquer coat and all of the text and index marks, all the way down to the silvered base layer applied to the brass dial plate.
