A friend of mine wants this watch, if the lone "Swiss" is genuine, must be an 14K American model

What are the opinions on it being a redial or original?

I suspect at least the markers have been re-applied, look at 10 oclock's alignment with eachother, and 9 oclock is tilted a bunch.

There is a weird cleaning/discoloration line as well it looks (though maybe crystal distortion?) that is very uneven.

I don't know what that is supposed to look like though, so it could be a complete redial, but there are at least some red flags.

I'd think redial, but no expert. Font, several of the markers.

I think not so much a redial but perhaps the dial furniture has fallen off at some point due to age and re applied (wonky).

The lone “swiss” I don’t think is a problem. I’ve seen it on lots of older watches, omega and longines. I’m sure someone with more knowledge than me will be able to explain why and when they moved to “Swiss made”

I stumbled across this example, sans subsecond dial, that has a similar dial layout.
