Today I’m selling this beautiful and recently serviced Record Datofix triple date moon phase from the 1950's.

The two-tone cream dial has black arabics with a blue date chapter ring. The moonphase subdial at 12 has a gilt moon disk that has tropicalised to a nice golden brown hue which is very helpful when it comes to picking out a complimentary leather strap. Over the years the dial has developed an attractive patina and is full of 1950's character. The steel leaf hands with copper and red date pointer hand are also in good condition.

The 35mm steel and chrome case has nicely defined fancy lugs and is in pretty good shape with some marks here and there. The crown and date setting pushers are functioning perfectly. The case back is signed Record.

Running an in house manual wind Record cal.107C. The movement is running very well, winding and setting very smoothly with the calendar and moon phase functions operating as they should. This movement was introduced together with the the Datofix in 1949 and Record was then one of only a small number of independent watch companies producing an in-house triple date moonphase calibre.

The watch has just come back from a service by my watchmaker in September of this year and as such should be good to go for the next few years of ownership.

I’m selling this head only but can fit a brown or black leather strap if so required.

€1375 net to me for this fantastic and freshly serviced Record Datofix will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for well established forum members only.
