Gentlemen- no need to drive the price up for the seller, you guys needs to work out the rules between each other.
Yeah.... for the Elgin....if u want it I will step aside. Feel I have a fair few to get on with and scored another rather special 60s diver on the Bay last night when my low offer was accepted so happy to let this one go to the better man (or woman of course).... So...anyone got a spare Bulova auto movement to bring that lovely Whale back to life?!
Stunning dial. The 11blac is the same family as the 11blacd (d meaning date) which were commonly found in regular plain Jane models up to the 666. The earlier version was the 11alacd which is what's in my early 666. I would bet if you check out any late 60's auto Bulova without date- a large percentage will have your movement.
Haha sorry, I’m not trying to ruin it for you or bud up on it. I have been talking to @JwRosenthal about skin divers for a little while as I hunt for them.
So now this is going to be like a four way stop sign and you both will be flagging the other on- and Dave will swoop in and grab it for $12
Ha yes - will when it arrives - dont want to tempt fate before. Ive been outbid on the Elgin now anyway - over to others for that one. Still got my eyes on another auction that ends in about 25 mins so fingers crossed on that one....think you know which one I mean! I was wondering if an ALAC movt would work - are the dial feet and post sizes the same? Could prob pick a cheap runner up and do the swap. Its such a great dial its worth it - case not so brilliant but will keep it with it for some integrity. Was very pleasantly surprised when I popped it out the case. The crystal has polished up pretty well too....
O Have never had a BLAC watch so don't know if they swap parts back and forth but some are so cheap it may be worth a try. You will find another with a clean case and trashed dial, just hang on to it- they always find a home
Lol! You Canadians are so polite....which is why you can still inhabit the continent with the worst neighbor on the planet.
Not a bad deal for a 666 diver if there are no bids https://www.ebay.com/itm/133511214825Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
These dials are usually not my favorites but I do like this one. I bet they'll take $40... https://www.ebay.com/itm/154077982628Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Man this one is screaming out for someone. Great dial. A mixture of sparkle and woven texture. Also the seller knows to show it off in some sunshine. Needs a service and has some scratches on the crystal but still... https://www.ebay.com/itm/274486701367Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
This Hammy is a special watch. That dial is insane! That pic above looks like damage (which is what I thought at first) but it's not- it's the linen texture. And it's a micro-rotor
