When I got up this morning, I couldn't believe the amount of feedback I got on that odd little piece overnight. Seems to be your responsibility @JwRosenthal 馃榾 Thanks for that, awaiting a final reply from another kind user, the Anker is then OHPF. I'm really happy it stays in the OF-family and I might see it once in a while in the WRUW.
Glad to help @MtV - gotta shout out to the bargains within the family as well. GLWS

If that was a UK sale and not subject to 拢150 of additional postage and import tax I think I鈥檇 hit the BIN. Blue dial - check, clean bezel - check, OG metal racing bracelet - Buy It Now.
Yes, the surcharge for the man is painful, but as one that appreciates what this watch is- what is the likelihood you will find another one like this- with bracelet no-doubt. Is the 拢150 worth kicking yourself over when you see others fly by is far worse condition?
Not trying to be an enabler- just someone who still kicks himself over a few that got away.

I totally agree this is a lovely piece but just to be clear this particular watch is ~ 32mm.

Looks like 35mm, am I missing something?

I feel that鈥檚 a big enough chunk of change that I鈥檇 rather put the funds towards a Bulova Snorkel (another one you guys turned me on to).

You can鈥檛 have 鈥榚m all, right?

Done. If I got all three, one goes to you.

Those do look amazing - one curiosity, inside the box lid they have "Creators of the 1st Moon watch". I wonder what they are referring to?

I only got one sadly, it arrived yesterday- and it needs a service right out of the box- it wound fine and runs but when I went to set it, it got really stiff after a few rotations- assume dried up oil that has turned to tar from sitting for 50 years.
I also saw the moon thing...Helbros?? That claim does warrant a little investigation.

Mostly dead links in the watchuseek forum, but reading the indications on the photo brought me to the NYT article on the moon-based time system. For history, I have copied the photo here.

Cheap diver alert!!
Elgin SS Diver with day/date and lovely slate dial. Outer track has some missing sections (not sure why as the lume looks good), may have been cleaned and relumed at some point. Even comes with a vintage tropic style strap. Can鈥檛 verify if bezel is correct but looks great. And for under $125 (make offer) who cares! This isn鈥檛 gonna last long.

NOOOO!!!! I've been looking for one of these and it's gone! They usually sell for quite a bit more and are out of my price range.

I was very tempted myself as it was a steal but it was day/date which I don鈥檛 care for (despite having a couple) and I鈥檓 trying to get away from buying things just because they are a good deal (and I don鈥檛 have the patience to be a flipper)- hence my involvement in this thread.
Sorry you missed it though, let鈥檚 hope someone here grabbed it- maybe you can have dibs.

Black dial Waltham. Not working but it looks to be in good condition. Can't be that price too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203094683984

That is a good price, and if this one is anything like one i recently gave to a friend, they have a really awesome super-matte dial with a nice dust texture:

Someone already snagged it. From the images it appears the hair spring is fouled.
Well that was me for $24. I have to stay away from this thread. Another project! I like putting sets together (Correct Box papers strap bracelet buckle etc) as a hobby and already have a box for this. And some spare parts. The postman is going to wonder what on earth is happening in a few days time....I鈥檝e rather gone a bit mad thanks to the members here.

Hey everyone - check your inboxes - Ebay is offering a coupon right now (code HAPPY25, but it is targeted) for $25 off a purchase of $25.01 or more. It's because of their 25th anniversary.

Ahhhh it only applies to members who have been on the site for a long time 馃檨 sometimes in doesn't pay to be in your twenties. Ebay is actually older than me 馃槖 maybe it's a good thing. Doesn't give me an excuse to buy something else 馃槜
