Got it. The story:
Right out of the box I was unable to wind it, so I opened it up. Turns out the seller, after taking the movement shot, had replaced the retaining ring incorrectly so it pushed against the stem. I fixed that and it wound easily. Timegrapher performance was poor (+225 s/d), so I spent some time adjusting it and got it to +1 s/d. Amplitude is good at 270. There was a large piece of lint on the dial, so I removed the watch from the case and blew off the dial. The dial is 100% flawless, and the markers gleam as though it came off the line yesterday. A quick buff of the crystal and it's ready to rock. Shown below with a gratuitous Devin Thomas gyuto.
