Another Chrono project- Sheffield 17 jewel- looks like a Venus but not an expert on these. Seller knows nothing about it and is clear about that. Looks to possibly have damage to the dial on the crown side but crystal is so bad it’s hard to know.
This could clean up beautifully or can be the basis of a great project.

Oh, and if anyone gets this and doesn’t want the bracelet- let me know.

Early 50’s Benrus- silvered numerals, second subdial, original bowler hat crown, great case shape.
The bad- funk on the dial at 9, radium burn, hands are rusty- but I doubt the hands are original as the dial doesn’t have any lume- so probably replaced at some point long ago. Runs but needs a services if you like the wabi-Sabi, then it’s worth pitching an offer for the cost of dinner- for one, without wine.

Accutron that is running. But I know not everyone likes gold 😉 https://www.ebay.com/itm/184420014179

My spidey sense wonders if that cross hair is not original, the thickness of the horizontal vs vertical lines and the fact the seller just happened to set the hands so it’s less obvious. Also all his other watch auctions have very clear photos and yet these are out of focus...

Stunning rose gold filled Bulova with lovely lugs and dial. The movement is WWII era so assuming this is late 30’s/early 40’s. Love that is still has the period strap- probably sat in a drawer for 70 years. It is going to be small- most likely around 29-30mm, so know that going in.

Intersting Certina with great looking lugs. Case looks great and dial has some spotting but not bad looking by any means. I assume it was purchased by the distributor and cased in the US as it’s got an Illinois case and movement is “graded”.
Assume it’s around 31mm, if it’s bigger then that would be a bonus to whomever gets it.

I think in the coming weeks we should do an eBay value thread roll call- we can show off the fruits of this thread after they are all cleaned up and wearing new straps/bracelets/crystals etc. I will reveal the watches I haven’t shared with the collective that I found while trawling for more to post here over the last month or two.

How big is it and where did you get that bracelet?!?!

And your watch is probably a stunner with that bracelet peeking out from under a shirt cuff.

Its 30mm without crown. Small indeed but not out of place on my wrists (and I'm 6ft 7ins). My wife likes it too with the rose gold hue. . Very subtle and the lugs are wonderful. The bracelet was fitted to the watch as it came to me and may well be the original fit - it was in a group of dress watches all owned by one older gentleman that I got in an auction a few years ago - I still have them as they were almost all unworn and fine examples. Now you've prompted me to give it a wipe as its a bit grubby. Bracelet marked Kreisler Quality Gold Cont 0.25. Here we go - 30 seconds with a Cape Cod.
