Still has the funky sticker on the back! You didn’t buy this because…??

I'm not made of money! Ok, making offer now...

Seriously though @trey4481 - every vintage watch, wether beater or NOS will need to be serviced if it hasn’t been in the last decade- period. They can continue to run- quite well many times, but it’s borrowed time as the oils and greases have long dried up.
Many of us have 60 year old watches (many from this thread) that have never been serviced and keep on running. Some I wear occasionally and if they keep time “close enough” I am fine. They were cheap enough that if they randomly stop we can make the judgement call on if we want to pay for a service or just throw them in a project box to deal with at some later time (if ever). The ones we actually care about will eventually get a service.

I was looking at that one. I was just going to pay $208. But then, I'm not sure if the bracelet would fit an 8" wrist.

Stick around- we find all kinds of fun shit. Or you may want to leave now and block this thread as it can get addictive

FWIW, don't worry about picking it up if you like it. I won't take it personally. I sent an offer, but haven't heard back yet. It's still early over in Japan. I suspect there will be a (hopefully small) customs fee as well...

The grail with those is flawless (of course) with all factory brushed finishes, back medallion, factory fitted mesh bracelet. They are so cheap there really is no reason to settle. But that ain’t gonna be $77.

Yeah I have no back medallion and there are two very small blemishes on the dial, but with a service I think this thing will be great. Of course that will likely be $250+... I probably should have gotten one like the $208 dollar one above.

I love the look of this Le Cheminant ESPA supercompressor case, ETA movement, $225 / make offer, claims to be serviced and shows a disassembly photo and timegrapher as evidence.

I can say - I bought a manual wind 1955 Eterna from this gentleman and I love it! I do believe he is indeed servicing them ( I know it’s always a gamble). It keeps phenomenal time. If you like something of his, I would recommend buying 😀

Don’t know much about them either but they are actually in my saved searches. I’ve seen the name on some very nicely done divers and chronos from the 60’s- nice cases, usually quality Swiss movements, attractive dials-probably a rebrander of the time. But I’ve seen some very nice watches with this name on them so saved the search.

Lovely ladies Kontiki that should clean up nicely. Appears to be running in the pics. Nice deal at asking and has make offer

One could pick this up along with this https://omegaforums.net/threads/1963-eterna-matic-kontiki-ref-130tt-37mm.158090/#post-2158340 and
have a cool his and hers set. You can be sickeningly cute like @JwRosenthal and his wife with there matching his-hers watches.

Interesting stainless Wyler with black dial, cross hair subdial and turtle lugs. This is a very cool looking watch that should clean up nicely. Seller didn’t note the size but I would be willing to bet it’s around 32-33 but the turtle bits will make it pop on the wrist,

Different case similar dial, and add from 1955.
