Looks like a nice watch, but I don't know... if the caseback is wrong then that is a dealbreaker for me as the chances of finding a genuine one are remote.

Do we know the caseback is wrong for sure? I have seen other examples of 1970s Zenith watches with generic looking case backs. I am not arguing that this caseback is correct, but I have not seen a convincing argument it is wrong.

I suspect it is wrong. In this close up, it looks as if the lip of the caseback is too short to cover the back of the case properly. Despite it fitting, it just looks too small.

Here is is a similar model with a proper Zenith caseback, which is what I suspect should be on the OP Zenith.

Well because I was watching this they sent me an offer of £195 so I thought about it, sought advice, and decided to take a punt. I’ll be patient and hopefully will find the correct case back some day.

But no problem enjoying it in the meantime 😀

The face and case look great and, after all, who sees the case back.

Nice watch at a great price - well done

Be interesting to see the full faint wording on the case back as it might give a clue about its own existence.
Congratulations can’t really go wrong for that money.

It looks like it says Automatic Stainless Steel 87007 Waterproof and something illegible. I’d be curious to see better photos of it as well because maybe it’s a bad photo, but it looks like someone at some point brushed the caseback by hand.

I agree with others in that at this price point, it’s a deal. That’s a fun and very wearable watch 👍

Nice thin Soviet Luch dress watch from a Kyiv, Ukraine seller. I bought a Luch 2209 from this seller three years ago and it is still running well, so I believe the claim of service. You can learn more about these watches here: https://www.2209watchmovement.com/brand-specifics/luch

You can make an offer to get the watch for less, but the BIN price is fair IMO.

Titanium case + bracelet on this 90's Seiko that gives out a cool Explorer vibe. Sure, it's a Quartz movement, but condition is nice, size is great at 37mm and it would make a pretty fine beater for $75

Nice looking modern Certina DS Powermatic 41mm in black hardly worn. Full set with steel bracelet and leather strap. UK based at just under £400 and you can make an offer. Seems like a good deal to me. The shops appear to be selling them for over £600.

You can get a very similar model new on the grey market for $250 USD. These Certina's with a Powermatic 80 movement at $250 are an amazing deal in my opinion.

Grand Seiko-esque Longines Conquest (no lume), presumably 1960s.
I have no idea if this case is original. I haven't seen it before.

I looked, and was tempted, and have just been offered it for £300. I’m not buying but it’s in the UK so no additional import duty if anyone else is tempted.

Hamilton Thin-o-matic, linen dial, micro-rotor, $370.

Photos are a little lacking. Case looks a bit polished.

Says 34mm. I couldn't say if that is accurate or actually means 33 point something.

Case back says waterproof, but I can't tell if it's screw-back or some kind of pressure deal.

I see another one sold last month for $330 with possibly a slightly sharper case but dial discoloration.

Nice looking watch. I wouldn't expect it to last too long.

Micro rotor too, and original crown. Providing it runs it looks like a good catch
