Interesting Wyler 660 heavy duty. Has a hand set and dial that's different one of the hands will need a relume touch up and a BIG crown. If I did not get a Wyler 660 heavy duty recently don't need another looks like a good buy any cool diver for under a 1000 a good deal. The dial looks black but the ad says blue mite look blue in person like it because it's different dial and hand set up than other Wyler 660 like mine.

One of cheapest LeCoultres you will find with a nice original dial:

The ugly engraving on the steel caseback should easily polish off if you like. Gold-fill look to be in decent condition otherwise. Just needs a service like most vintage watches.

We got another Polerouter wannabe. We should start a thread on these
Evidently, yes, it is. However these are EPSA super compressor cases so the case quality is arguably better than a Polerouter's.

This is coming from a past Polerouter owner, by the way.

The dial on my example is spotless and I credit that to the excellent case quality.

When you said ugly engraving on the caseback I thought oh Evan must really not like caseback engravings but I don’t mind them so wouldn’t bother polishing them off, but that’s the ugliest caseback engraving I’ve ever seen, like a prison tattoo with a dremel multi tool.

At that price, you have to take the good with the bad.

Luckily the bad is under the watch and not on the dial

I’ve long been a fan of this thread and am always amazed by the passion and knowledge of those who post. I’ve lost many an hour scrolling through here and debating whether I take the plunge with a good vintage purchase. This however looks a good deal to my untrained eye...

While I am in no way knowledgeable on these, I'll take a stab here. First, there's still 6 days 19 hours on the auction, so where it ends up nobody knows, and it could turn from a "deal" to "not so" along the way. Based on the markings in the case back, I'd say it has had at least two services, but I'm thinking one of them had some polish wheel time on that receipt. Again, I'm no expert, but the edges seem a little soft to me. The dial seems nice to me, but that disclaimer again...I could be totally off. I still have many many hours of schooling before I trust my eyes on dials.

Keep an eye on it and see where it ends, and if you're tempted, I'd definitely "check the depth of that water before diving in head first". I'm sure there are a number of more learned members that could give you a thumbs up or thumbs down before you make the plunge.

It looks lovely but will end up for a lot more money.

OK, six hours to go on this and while I'm certain the current bid (£362) won't last this could still go under the radar and given the interest in Connies here I thought I'd flag it up. Looks right to me. The dial is not the most beautiful and the case has lost its brushing effect. It's hardly in museum condition but I think it's the real deal and it's on a 1040 / 518 bracelet so there's still room to get this at a good price.

Update: It sold for £430. Not a bad price I think. Anyone here get it?

I probably overlook these ones a bit as I’ve not been a fan of the 1000 series movements but they’re not terrible and can be a decent buy if the price stays low, just wouldn’t go as high as I would with a 561/564/751 price wise
